DSSS participates in the 3 day cyber security moot

KARACHI (NNI) - A three-day yearly Cyber Security convention that is taking place from July 26 to 28, is being regarded as the most smashing, exhilarating computer and cyber security event to have ever taken place in Pakistan. Local Hotel, which is where the event was organised, hardly survived PAKCON 3rd.

Renowned security consultants and security professionals from various high-profile organisations and security firms presented papers and entertained and bamboozled the audience with their talks on various aspects of computer security.

Speakers presented their materials on Two-factor Authentication, Plugging your Data Leaks, Enterprise Security Monitoring Visualized, Securing your Wireless Network, Prosecuting Hackers, Web Application Worms, Win32 Exploitation, Masquerading as Trustworthy, How Attackers go Undetected, and more.

Faiz Ahmad Shuja, president of PAKCON and CEO of Rewterz, talked about Enterprise Security Monitoring. Ahmad Elkhatib from Pointsec, UAE talked about Data Leaks. A professor from American University of Sharjah, Dr. Fadi Aloul, talked about Securing Wireless Networks.

Tan Tiek Guan from Data Security Systems Solutions, Singapore talked about Two-factor Authentication. Pakistan based security researchers, Muhammad Omar Khan talked about Web Application Worms and Muhammad Ahmed Siddiqui talked about Win32 Exploitation. Members from Pakistan Honeynet Project, Syed Jahanzaib Sarfaraz talked about Botnets and Ayaz Ahmed Khan talked about How Attackers go Undetected.
